The YMCA is the largest aquatic, leisure and recreation facilities manager in Australia. In NSW and the ACT, we operate over 40 sites where clients enjoy being part of communities that value physical activity as a source of happiness and positivity.

The YMCA was founded in response to social challenges. In 1844 George Williams, a 22-year-old London drapery merchant gathered a few friends to form a society that met regularly to support each other and gain renewed strength in body, mind and spirit. Today, the YMCA is a global world alliance based in Geneva, Switzerland. It operates in more than 119 countries and has more than 58 million members.

In Australia, the YMCA supports over 740 communities through 24 member associations with more than 12,000 staff.
