You can dictate* the credentials to the skill by change the credentials or visit https://alexa.wifi.properties to enter them. There for you need a number or link via QR Code, which you get by connection code.

After storing the credentials, you can ask for credentials, WiFi Name (SSID) oder the password. On an Echo Show or the Alexa App we will present the credentials also with a QR Code.

Hint for dictation, by now you can use capital or small letters, numbers or some special characters:

For clear identification you can say small Alpha for an a; digit one for an 1.

For one of the following special characters you say symbol followed by the name:
