Timebound, приложение для путешествий во времени

On Back to the Future Day, 21 October 2015, when Marty McFly and Emmet Doc Brown travelled to the future, we are announcing the launch of Timebound – the first app that makes time travel possible.

With the help of this app important historical events can become part of people’s everyday life. World War Two, manned missions to space, the Chernobyl disaster, the Titanic journey – we all studied these things in school, but who of us can say that we really know and understand what happened back then? What we lack is an experience of being there. Timebound gives a chance to live through a favourite time in history.

The app allows you to follow important historical events in real time. Once you’ve picked an event, you get push-notifications about its every twist and turn. You live through the event, hour by hour. So if you picked World War Two, you’ll be living in it for six years, receiving all the significant information at the exact time of day it had actually happened. You can also explore the feed of the event in progress – catch up with the updates you missed, browse through historical pictures, photos, and maps.

To make it happen we put together a team of writers, designers and developers with experience in media and academic history. Right now we are working on the first 25 events. They last from several days to years. First Man on the Moon, The Hunt for Jack the Ripper, Three Hundred Spartans, the first Woodstock. We’re even thinking about the Hundred Years’ War, so people have a chance to share the experience with their grandkids.
