The Design Studio by Azza Fahmy

The Design Studio by Azza Fahmy (DSAF) roots from an educational initiative named Nubre. Nubre, which means design in Nubian, refers to a series of workshops Azza Fahmy held in Aswan (Upper Egypt) in collaboration with the European Union.

The workshops' success and popularity with both local and international students, pushed Azza Fahmy Jewellery to create DSAF. With DSAF, applied students become a part of Azza Fahmy's contribution to the Arts industry in Egypt. By providing an academic space whereby interested students can grow their jewellery-making skills and become their own independent brands, DSAF also provides a more secured career path in jewellery design and entrepreneurship in Egypt.

DSAF' academic merger with renowned Italian Contemporary Jewellery School, Alchimia, guarantees that students receive the know-how from European jewelry experts and artists. Furthermore, students who apply to DSAF have the opportunity to attend Alchimia in Florence, Italy for an extended educational program- applying global standards and international market guidelines to their education.

DSAF basic academic profile offers a 3 year program in traditional silversmithing techniques and contemporary jewelry design, as well as the key requisites for becoming an independent artist/brand.

For students who can't commit to a full-fledged program, DSAF offers part-time options as well, such as Technical courses and intensive short jewellery making courses.
