The $1 Producer Project

What Is This?

The $1 Producer Project is an artistic fund created by Anthony Natarelli for the purpose of giving creators an opportunity to showcase their talents without shouldering the financial burdens of production themselves. These projects can include live shows, online content, short films, art galleries, and loads of other artistic events.

How Does It Work?

Similar to KickStarter and GoFundMe, this is a crowd-sourced project run through Patreon, a monthly contribution website for creators. The difference here is that we’re only asking for $1 a month instead of X amount total. For now, every patron’s dollar will be used to create a monthly live show, such as The Lunchbox: Live, and a piece of online content, like a short film, video sketch, etc. As the community grows, our opportunities to take on bigger projects grows with it. For example, at a patron base of 2000 people, we can take a portion of that monthly budget and put it into a yearly budget for a large scale project like a feature film.

Why Only $1?

This is a community project. While $1 may not seem like much, it adds up quickly as we reach more people. Aside from contributing, the best thing you can to do to help this project succeed is share it with your friends. Creators want their work to be seen, and this is great way for them to have a built in community AND gives them the opportunity to create freely without the stress that comes with building a budget out of pocket. Limiting support to $1 also puts all of our contributors on the same level. No one is left wishing they could afford to give more in order to get some huge reward, but everyone is still helping us create without breaking the bank. 

Are There Rewards?

As of right now, there are no physical rewards we can offer. At $1 a month, it’s impossible to give everyone something like a t-shirt or a coffee mug they’ll forget they have. We can, however, offer exclusive content like behind the scenes footage, interviews, podcast, pictures, and even early access to content we haven’t officially released yet. Not to mention our illustrious Wall of Fame that will have your name on it, as well as giveaways and discounts to certain events.
