Is an artist a different kind of person? Is there something in them that compels them forward, haunted by the blank page? Are they tortured souls, animated by the divine? Is it genius? Talent? Or is there a road to art that is equally traceable by all of us?

In 2014 Co-Creators Allan Amato and Olga Nunes set out to make a documentary film to explore these questions.

To make it happen, they formed Good Bully Collective, a ragtag consort of two stink-eyed misfits hell-bent on crow-barring open the hearts of every aspiring artist everywhere, whether they liked it or not. Together they brought the idea to Kickstarter and succeeded in raising eighty thousand dollars to propel the film.

Since then, Allan and Olga have traveled the world interviewing artists and hunting the story that beats at the heart of why we create. Along the way, they got help from executive producers Amanda Palmer, Neil Gaiman, Jon Schnepp, as well as Good Bully Collective new addition Jason Seigler. The film also flourished from invaluable contributions from luminaries Kevin Smith, Grant Morrison, and Chuck Palahnuik— not to mention the cadre of incredible artists that power the engine of the project itself. The film is currently in post-production at Good Bully Collective headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, slated for release in 2016.
