TalkToTheWord
TalkToTheWord is a thematic Bible concordance chat with the Parsed Interactive Bible PIB. You can interact with the Word using brief sentences about anything in your heart. The responses are purely in-context Scriptures. Then the chat (or in Google Assistant the microphone) will stay open waiting for you to meditate on that verse, or to discuss whatever you like - it is just between you and the Bible.
You can use TalkToTheWord as a way to think through your problems, brainstorm new ideas, or use it as a concordance to find related Bible verses. It will chat just as well using urban slang as regular short sentences and it can work in large youth groups, small Bible studies or during personal quiet times. TalkToTheWord can be used online with 11 Apps or sites.
Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
TalkToTheWord will stay open after each PIB Scripture. So, once you are finished, please remember to say, Amen, to close the chat.
The PIB is derived from the World English Bible WEB. More than 8,500 verses have been grouped together to preserve context and, whenever possible, to emphasise the Royal Law: If you fulfill the royal law, according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well. (James 2:8) TalkToTheWord's Context Search or concordance matches User input with relevant PIB Scriptures. However, if no match is found, it is supplemented by a Google or Content Search of both the Old and New Testaments.
PIB Scriptures are grouped by theme and these groups are matched to user input by TalkTotheWord. Individual PIBs from a matched group are chosen randomly. However, God is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent, so - whether it is random combinations of space dust, DNA or algorithms - the lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord. (Proverbs 16:33).
No words from the World English Bible have been changed and no commentary, notes or small talk have been added so that your own response to each Scripture is inspired just by that verse alone, and by what's on your heart. Verse numbers have been removed to encourage reading in context. Parsing has been based on meaningful sentence groups rather than the verse numbers that were added to Scripture in the 16th century.
