How do I use the skill?
You can open the skill without a specific command Alexa, open Soccer Forecast. Then you will be greeted and Alexa presents a sample question of the skill.

Alternatively, you can open the skill with a specific command:

Request victory probabilities:
Alexa, ask Soccer Forecast, what is the probability that Tottenham wins against Chelsea.
Alexa, ask Soccer Forecast, how big is the chance that Arsenal wins against Everton.

To receive fair odds:
Alexa, ask Soccer Forecast, how are the odds for United against City.
Alexa, ask Soccer Forecast, what are the odds for Liverpool against Swansea.

You can even take into account which team is home or away. The team you call first is the home team. This also affects the probabilities and odds. Try it!

Get the placing of a club and the score in the Elo table:
Alexa, ask Soccer Forecast, on what place is Watford.
Alexa, ask Soccer Forecast, which placement does Bayern have.
Alexa, ask Soccer Forecast, how many points does Newcastle have.

How does it work?
Originally, Elo is a scoring system that specifies the skill level for chess players. The stronger a player, the higher the Elo rating. If two players compete against each other, Elo will be deducted from the loser and the winner will receive Elo. In addition, depending on their Elo value, players can calculate an expected value that indicates the probability of winning or losing.
Soccer Forecast uses this scoring system for football teams. The skill calculates Elo scores for all teams in the Bundesliga. The values are updated every week. The skill can specify Elo scores for individual teams, their place in the Elo table as well as victory probabilities.
