I believe that to get extraordinary results, you can't approach learning to play the guitar the same way everyone else has been doing it - otherwise we'd see a much higher percentage of the population become great guitar players than we currently do. In reality, most people never advance beyond the beginner level.

It isn't necessarily your fault if you haven't gotten as good on the guitar as you wanted to get, or if you've progressed too slowly in your current or past lessons. When lessons are impersonal and irrelevant to your needs, or boring, or are not supported by teaching you how to actually apply your skills, there is little incentive for ANYONE to stick with it.
