SHOW You Care was launched in 2012 by Sri Lanka Unites, to address the pertinent issue of harassment of women in public spaces with the single goal of making Colombo a safer place for women. Through its volunteers over 30,000 passengers were made aware in over 1000 buses about the issue of harassment and the ways to address it.

Over the years SHOW you care has held multiple training programs for young men and organized bus campaigns to bring attention to this issue.

This Page and Chat bot is an effort to collect data and systematically track the peak hours, bus routes and areas where women face a spike in harassment. The data will be used to:

1. Urge authorities to immediately take measures to curb the harassment faced by women in these places.
2. Dispatch SHOW You Care volunteers to these areas and bus routes to create awareness and collect evidence

We need your help to do this. Simply message Hi to our page whenever you are harassed and you will be provided with a guided chat. Not only will you be able to access information on actions you could take immediately, but your information will help us track and document instances of harassment.
