Piano Teacher - with video for Echo Show

This skill teaches the basics for piano. With an Echo Show, which keys to play are marked on the screen while the audio device plays the notes. For other Alexa enabled devices, just play along with the music.

Get started by taking a few lessons. The first one is to learn the scale. Say something like -
- Teach me how to play the scale.
For a complete list of lessons, just say 'List Lessons'.

Note recognition is also a big part of learning how to play the piano. Use this skill to test your ability to recognize notes.
- Say 'Play musical note guessing game' to begin.
- Then when guessing notes, make sure and phrase it as a statement. For example 'That is a D'.
- Try and see how many notes you can recognize in a row.

Once you've mastered the basics of the piano keyboard and notes, move onto playing songs. Start by saying.
- 'List Songs' - and you will get the current songs that are available within the skill.

Then pick one, and request it to be played by saying something like.
- Teach me how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
- What are the notes to Three Blind Mice?
- How do you play London Bridge is Falling Down?

When a video is playing on an Echo Show, you can use commands to control with your voice beyond just changing the volume.

For example, with the video app you can say,
- 'Pause' to take a break during a song.
- 'Resume' to resume playing.
- 'Rewind' to repeat a section again within a song.
