Ohana Dreams

Aloha! My name is Jamie and it was not long ago that I was sitting and wondering what to do with my life. Life had thrown me some curve balls and I needed to figure out how to hit them. Almost 6 years ago I gave birth to my first boy who was born with a congenital heart defect. We spent his first 6 month of life in and out of the hospital. After his 2nd open heart surgery at 3 months old, he had a major stroke. From the stroke, he became severely disabled and fully dependent on me and his father. At that time, I decided to be a stay at home mom. After a couple of years at home with my son, my husband lost his job. We were living in Hawaii at the time. This forced us to move to Indiana to be close to my parents and cheaper living. We believed that making the move was the best for our family, and it was a very good move, but the reality was we were still only making ends meet. We wanted to provide a better life for our children. We wanted to be able to get our son anything he needed to help him be comfortable and able to do more things. That was not happening living off of our income. That's when I knew we had to make a change. I needed to find something that would allow me to stay home and take care of my children while providing a steady income and healthy lifestyle. That is when I came across Digital Marketing and created my own business. Ohana means 'family in Hawaiian and that is what drives this business.
