Lack of choice, exorbitant costs and doubts of quality have been unwavering constants in our day-to-day experience of medical treatment. Inspired by the saying, “Be the Change You Want to See”, four young citizens got together in 2016 to set out on a mission to change the dismal Healthcare Scenario in India, by changing the way medical “samaan” (articles) are made available and utilised.

As we took to the cities and the villages, and spoke to doctors, patients, hospitals and suppliers, we realized that there were a number of problems which had compounded the situation: patients didn’t have enough choices within their budgets, doctors couldn’t access latest innovations, distributors were unwilling to supply in low resource territories, manufacturers couldn’t reach enough customers and even basic medical devices cost a fortune.

We set out to solve the problem through an unconventional approach. By integrating the available IT infrastructure and blending it with a unique mix of multi modal marketing, we conceptualized an Online Marketplace, which would make buying quality medical devices simple, convenient and affordable.

“MedSamaan” integrates the advantages of both online and offline sales, and provides a unique experience to users in terms of Variety of Choice, Lower Costs, Assured Quality and Timely Delivery. This experience invariably gets converted into a trusted relationship that makes Users come back to our Portal for their subsequent needs.
