(in)comoda-me

Lisboa. A city where, behind sunny days and happy people, has many cold bodies lying on the concrete. Homeless people waiting for food. Waiting for warmth. Waiting for life.

In normal day life we pass, worried about our little problems, forgetting those eyes. In most cases not asking for help but for attention: for the recognition of their human condition. Because when we talk about these problems, sitting in a warm place with our full stomachs we don't relate to them. We can never know the feeling of cold concrete until we lie on it.

Besides, Lisboa has plenty of empty houses, trapped by time and forgetfulness, also waiting for life to inhabit them. So our project has the main statement of telling stories about homeless people and peopleless homes. We want to paste the faces on the façades, enabling people on the street to feel the duality of this situation. The name is (In)Comoda-me because:

• in is from interior (not just the interior of buildings but also of people)
• comoda-me in portuguese is accomodate me (somehow what the faces on the posters are asking)
• incomoda-me in portuguese is it bothers me (the final reaction of the passer-by)
