With Hu-Friedy Sharpening Assistant, keeping your edge is easy! Dental professionals now have their own personal assistant that can guide them through simple to follow steps to sharpen any Hu-Friedy hand scaling instrument.

Your Sharpening Assistant can help you in several ways:

(1) Simply say “Alexa, open Hu-Friedy Sharpening Assistant” to get started. This will trigger the welcome menu and let you choose which scaler/curette you want to sharpen.

(2) You can choose what instrument to sharpen by saying the type, such as “Gracey”, “Sickle”, “Nevi”, or “Universal”. You can also get instructions for the exact instrument number you wish to sharpen. Just ask for the number, such as “SH6 slash 7”

(3) You can listen all the sharpening steps, browse sharpening images, or watch sharpening videos (video and images are only available on certain Echo devices)

Say “Steps” to listen/browse sharpening steps

Say “Video” to watch sharpening videos

Say “Repeat” to listen the sharpening step again

Say “Go back to Step ..” to lead you to any step you want to listen

Say “Next” to listen to the next step

Say “Continue” to sharpen another instrument

Say “Start over” to go to welcome page for sharpening a new instrument

Say “Stop” to exit the skill

During the video, you can say “Alexa, pause” to pause the video and “Alexa, resume” to resume the video.
