Travel More, Own Less

In 2012, I (Jay Ho) went on a 30 day backpacking trip through Europe hitting up: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris, Ibiza, Madrid, Munich, Stockholm, Berlin and Prague. I played chess in the park with the homeless in Spain, stood atop tables and downed beers at Oktoberfest, fell in love on a train and almost missed my plane. Those 30 days sparked a huge shift in my life. I instantly knew that I was in love with travelling.

The wanderlust would eventually lead me to London, U.K where I spent 2 wonderful years working for Whole Foods Market and travelling monthly to destinations all throughout Europe and Africa (20 countries). It was during this time that I learnt how to find cheap flights and accommodations.

I called my brother up and told him about my plans to start a travel website to share what I’ve learnt. The next day we had the website up. Within 1 week we landed our first 2 partnerships. Here’s a timeline of what we’ve done and where we are headed:

March 2017: Holiday Unicorn UK launches with cheap flights, holidays and tours departing from London to the world.

Aug 2017: Majestical Travel Magazine launches with insightful articles on how to travel better, cheaper and more often.

Sept 2017: Holiday Unicorn Australia launches with cheap flights, holidays and tours departing from Sydney to the world.

Oct 2017: Holiday Unicorn Tribe launches to connect the world’s best travel bloggers, writers, vloggers and storytellers.
