With Emil, the chatbot for German broadcaster Südwestrundfunk (SWR), the builder of the legendary locomotive Rhein comes digital back to life. News and backgrounds are not available as articles, but as a dialogue as you know it from messengers. The SWR special Jäger der versunkenen Lok accompanies the lifting in October 2018 of Germany's oldest still existing steam locomotive, which has been lying at the bottom of the Rhein for 166 years. Whoever chats with Emil learns how the first recovery attempt took place in 1866 and what has happened since then. It also informs when something new happens on the construction site. The chatbot is available on the SWR website and on Facebook Messenger.
