Eddy Voice Remote Scenes

Use Amazon Alexa with your Global Cache controllers to activate Eddy Voice Remote Activities. Use your voice to go to your favorite TV channel. Say Alexa, turn on the TV to power on your TV and Soundbar. If the Eddy Voice Remote Activity has an Off activity then you can say “Alexa, turn off the TV.

You can also set up friendly scene names, allowing you to say Alexa, turn on the Game Machine to trigger your Eddy Voice Activity.


Yes, the skill supports multiple Global Cache Controllers. It also supports adjusting volume and pausing and playing activities.


Try saying
Alexa, turn on the TV
Alexa, turn on Netflix”

For Favorite Channels, try saying:
Alexa, turn on ABC
Alexa, turn on CBS”

For TV Controls try saying:
Alexa, turn on Increase”
Alexa, turn on Decrease”
Alexa, turn on Next
Alexa, turn on Previous”

If you set up Tivo with Eddy Voice Remote, try saying:
Alexa, turn on Pause
Alexa, turn on Play”

Special Keywords Notes:
When creating scenes, the keywords volume and channel are reserved for Amazon Alexa. You will see some Scenes that contain these keywords to function, but you do not pronounce the keywords.

Examples:

Scene name: Increase Volume
You say: Alexa, Turn on Increase

Scene name: Channel ABC
You say: Alexa, Turn on ABC

Prerequisites

Hardware Requirements:
You need to have a Global Cache compatible controller that supports sendir API Calls. The compatible controllers are: Global Cache iTach Series (IP2IR, IP2IR-P, and WF2IR), Global Cache Flex Series (IP, IP-P, and WF), Global Cache GC-100 Series (06, 12, 18, 18R)


Software Requirements:
To use this skill, you need to have an active account on eddy.tinyelectrons.com; You will setup and configure the compatible controllers and devices. Once all the devices and controllers are setup, you will use the website to create activities and channels, and finally you will need to use the website to configure Scenes.
