#65 Amazon Alexa Global Rank

Control your ecobee thermostat(s) by just asking Alexa! If you have an Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, or the Tap, you can link your ecobee account to Alexa to ask for the temperature and adjust accordingly with voice.

To get started, select the Enable Skill button in the Alexa App to link your ecobee account and discover your thermostat(s). Instructions and more information can be found at http://amzn.to/291lR7u.

To use the skill, you need to specify by name which thermostat or sensor to use. You can refer to them in two ways:
* By the name(s) that you have already set up on your thermostat. If you haven’t renamed it, your default thermostat name is ‘ecobee.’
* By group (such as Bedroom or Downstairs), set up using Alexa. Instructions and more information can be found at http://amzn.to/2965dCE.

Once you know the name or group of your thermostat, you can say the following:
“Alexa, decrease Bedroom by 3 degrees.”
“Alexa, set Downstairs temperature to 72.”
“Alexa, what is the temperature in the Bedroom?”
“Alexa, what is Downstairs set to?”

Alexa is compatible with all ecobee thermostat models. For more information, please see https://www.ecobee.com/topics/amazon-echo/.
