Charlie's Heist

Charlie Horatio Lilienthal, a notorious daredevil gangster has done it again. She stole the Mona Lisa from the Louvre, sprinted down the Champs Elysees, turned left, evaded trams and dove into the Seine, never to be seen again. She's merrily hopping from city to city and era to era with her loot. Your job is to track her down by answering questions about cities and history.

Each game consists of five questions. Each question consists of two parts: a city part and a time part. For example:

For the time part: sneering at this notorious Chicago mobster’s inability to evade taxes., the choices could be a) Al Capone b) Michael Corleone c) Robert DeNiro. Al Capone was the Chicago Mobster.

For each part there will be a detailed explanation after the question with history, context and other interesting details. Any clues or hints in the question will be explained as well.
