RULES FOR COMMENTING I put a lot of effort into trying to establish a tone of respectful dialogue in all my commentaries. If you're interested in interacting with the ideas and other commenters, then I ask that you show the same respect. Trolling isn't tolerated and if I notice that kind of behavior, you will risk being deleted and blocked from the page. If you post something that fits the below criteria, I'll let it stand once but you don't get to post follow up comments. I'll likely warn you, but can't promise that.

So here is my criteria for trolling:

1. Name calling, rudeness, abusiveness, ad hominems (if you have to Google that, then you shouldn't be getting into philosophical arguments online), bullying, racism, threats, excessive swearing, vitriol, emotionally excessive comments, etc. If you can't be respectful, then don't waste your time.

2. Posting the same thing multiple times on multiple threads. Say your piece once and move on. Otherwise, you're just harassing people.

3. Getting too personal with me or other commenters. Googling someone's name to try to dig up dirt to discredit them is fallacious and very poor form.

4. Asserting that someone's argument is stupid or baseless or wrong without providing a counter argument. This shows that you're not interested in dialogue but simply trying to bully others.

This list will likely grow as trolls come in many forms and I'm yet to encounter all varieties.
