OUR STORY

Our vision for helping kids reach their potential through better educational opportunities first took shape with a journey. Founder Luis Garcia spent five months in 2010 exploring new places and volunteering with kids at schools and orphanages in the world’s poorest countries.

While at an orphanage in India, Luis handed out pencils to a classroom of excited students. Their enthusiasm made a deep impression. He realized the children were like millions of others around the world, eager for an education but lacking basic supplies.

Determined to help and do something that would have a lasting impact, veteran product designer Luis and Kalon Gutierrez launched Schoolbags for Kids—a line of ergonomic and fashionable backpacks.

Now as Bixbee, we are making unique bags & accessories for kids and our One Here. One There. impact continues. Moms & kids can’t resist our designs, but they also love making a difference by giving a child a chance at a better education.
