“EVERY HAND ISN’T A CREATOR”

Edward de Bono says: “There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.”

Clay is an ordinary thing in the world but due to creative hands it gains nobility in the form of tombs of shrines, arches of mosques, arcade of churches and arks of synagogues only because of the creativity of human hand. This ordinary clay turns in precious pearls when it is pasted in the shape of motifs, mosaic and Kashi tiles and continuously changing patterns of kashi on pottery.

These creative hands (in form of handicrafts) contributed $ 5,032 in fiscal year 2007-08 for Pakistan that is higher figure till now. In recent budget, there was no fund announced for carpet industry and very less percentage is specified for handicraft industry. Handicraft industry is paying industrial electricity charges, facing long hours load shading and mostly all winter gas scarcity and government also charged tax on blue pottery (SME’s are excluded). Despite these pitfalls, lack of support of government, poor economic conditions and less income artisans are doing their job for their survival and revival of art and craft with spirit.

Artisans Galleria is working on mega projects of building décor material (e.g handmade ceramics Tiles Nakashi and Wood Doors), Home décor (e.g Decoration items), Kitchen items (e.g Crockery, Pottery, wood cabinets), tableware and all pottery accessories for hotels, restaurant and cafeterias.

We believe “every hand is not a creator” so we do respect the creator of the creation. Artisans Galleria is aimful to contribute its part in revival of heritage, provide quality handicraft at affordable prices and as well as support artisans to organize independent exhibitions for them, to offer independent markets for selling their products, support in their project establishments and always ready to bear all loss in case of any misfortune happened to artisans during their projects. So all benefits are for our artisans, craftsmen and women and losses are for us.
