APU 3M Avant-Garde Competition

The 3 Minute Avant-Garde Competition gives students three minutes to explain their idea with the help of one single static PowerPoint slide as a visual aid. This is the ultimate elevator pitch challenge.

We are calling in 3 Minute Avant-Garde which means new and unusual or experimental ideas. The 3 Minute Thesis Competition is run in universities worldwide and is an academic competition that challenges Doctoral and Masters Students to describe their research within three minutes to a general audience. But the APU version of 3M Avant-garde celebrates the discoveries made by undergrads and diploma students and encourages their skill in communicating the importance of research to the broader community. This competition will support APU student’s capacity to effectively explain their idea/research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
